What does a typical day as a Founder, Content Creator, and Virtual Assistant look like?
A typical day varies depending on what's happening! My mornings are set for my needs and my company's needs, while the bulk of the "9 to 5" is dedicated to client work. Typically, my day starts at 5:00 am with meditation, a cup of coffee, and at least 1 hour of listening to positive affirmations. Between 6:00 am and 9:00 am, I focus on social media scheduling for the day (new remote jobs on my site are updated daily) and any other business operations needs before starting client work. From about 9:00 am to 2:30 pm, the focus is on clients (with a lunch break, of course). The rest of my day goes to brainstorming new ideas, business development, updating websites, invoicing, and other business-related tasks as needed. In the evenings, I try to log off social media and focus on family time.
What are you passionate about? (In your work, personal life, or other)
I'm really passionate about helping creative women succeed! I've been in the digital content creation space for years, and everything I've done (with or without knowing it) has centered on supporting other women like me.
What do you find most challenging about being a Founder, Content Creator, and Virtual Assistant?
The most challenging thing about being an entrepreneur is balancing everything at once. I not only work for my clients, but I'm also building my own brand alongside that work. It took a lot of discipline and effort to schedule everything properly, allot enough time to build a company from the ground up, and still meet all client expectations.
What do you find most enriching about being a Founder, Content Creator, and Virtual Assistant?
What I find most enriching is spending most of my day in comfy clothes while making a global impact for brands and women who are literally game-changers. There's something so enriching about working your a** off but going to bed knowing you did it all from the comfort of your couch. It makes me realize my value and potential are limitless, and that feels so empowering.
How did you find yourself on your current career path?
I quit my job without a solid job lined up, so I asked myself what I could do with my creative talents and administrative background. I hustled for months, finding the right clients at the right time (and with the right budget) to make my services a full-time income. It ultimately took leaving my last career without a backup plan for me to fully bloom into my current career!
Words of advice for anyone who wants to pursue this career path?
If you're thinking of selling online services or building your own brand, take the leap before you're ready! If you've strategically thought the idea through, but you've stalled on launching or going for it because you're not sure if you're "ready", you need to take action. You're never 100% ready to leave a career to become an entrepreneur. There will always be new discoveries on your journey, so start soon so you can succeed soon!
